Southside Center for the Arts – Fundraising
The Envision Opelika Foundation, Inc. works toward improving the quality of life for all residents of the community through its citizens, organizations, and community partners. The Foundation currently has two projects slated for implementation in 2018, which require fundraising efforts. The Southside Center for the Arts, formally Miriam S. Brown School, 1103 Glenn Street in Opelika An early goal of The Envision Opelika Foundation, Inc. was to encompass a beautiful, vibrant city that values and protects its historic places, reuses vacant buildings, and maintain a balance of historic and modern buildings. Included in this goal has been the reconstruction of The Southside Center for the Arts.
Circles USA – Fundraising
Encompassing several goals set forth by The Envision Opelika Foundation, a task force comprised of local educators, social service agencies, and community members began to research, network, and collaborate to identify a sustainable program that would assist in reducing the number of families living in poverty in our community, which is not presently offered. An estimated commitment of $233,100.00 is needed over a three year period to make this program viable. The goal is to begin implementation in March, 2018.
